As the banking industry continues to evolve, traditional brick-and-mortar branches are becoming less relevant. In response to this, I was tasked with creating a new unstaffed pop-up branch for NM-1 that leveraged cutting-edge technology and catered to the evolving needs of modern customers. To achieve this, I utilized a range of design techniques, including 3D design, retail design, 3D visualisation, POS design, conceptual design, and architectural design.
The concept I arrived at incorporated a private virtual meeting room, automated banking machines, and a virtual bank teller touch screen. By combining these elements, I was able to create a seamless and intuitive banking experience for customers, with minimal human intervention. The private virtual meeting room enabled customers to consult with bank representatives from their homes, while the automated banking machines provided a range of services, including cash deposits and withdrawals, check printing, and bill payments. The virtual bank teller touch screen allowed customers to interact with a digital avatar of a bank representative, who could assist them with a wide range of banking queries and transactions.
To ensure stakeholder buy-in on the concept, I utilized 3D design and visualisation techniques to create detailed visualizations of the pop-up branch. This allowed me to showcase the design, layout, and features of the branch in a way that effectively communicated my ideas to stakeholders.
In conclusion, by leveraging cutting-edge design techniques such as 3D design, retail design, 3D visualisation, POS design, conceptual design, and architectural design, I was able to create an innovative and effective solution to the challenges facing the banking industry. The unstaffed pop-up branch I designed represents a major step forward in the industry’s ongoing transformation, and I believe that it will set a new standard for banking services in the years to come.
